KIDS ARE 1ST - COMMUNITY SAFETY EVENTS FOR CHILDREN, TEENS, & FAMILIES

Founded in 1993 by Marilyn and Arnold Weinger, KIDS ARE 1ST is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization driven by a personal experience. Witnessing the emotional and devastating turmoil caused by our dear friend’s child being abducted, we dedicated ourselves to educating the public on how to  prevent such tragedies. Our custom safety kits were the initial program that started Kids Are 1st!  The safety kits contain an up-to-date picture and fingerprints taken on site and are especially important in the case of a child or teen being separated from their family in the event of an emergency or disaster. It took our dear friend 5 years to see her child again. She was one of the lucky ones.

Ms. Weinger, an elected city official, initiated Community Safety Day in Highland Park, IL, expanding it to other cities in Illinois and California. Today, the Weingers continue to volunteer at Kids Are 1st, prioritizing the safety of our children.
